Fortrose Pre-School offers sessions from Monday to Friday.
Morning Sessions: 9.00am – 12.00pm
Afternoon Sessions: 12.00pm – 3.00pm
Your child is entitled to 600 hours of government-funded childcare per year. This equates to 16 hours per week or 5 sessions.
Since November 2016, children are now able to attend a morning and afternoon session on the same day. Children attending for a full day will have their lunch during the session changeover with parents providing their own child(ren) with a healthy packed lunch.
We are currently offering families the opportunity for children to attend up to 5 additional sessions per week. This would allow a child to attend the pre-school for a maximum of 8 sessions per week.
Anything above the 16 hours of government-funded childcare (including lunchtime crossover periods and additional sessions) will be charged at £3.45 per hour. Please be aware that
In line with the Pre-School’s Admissions Policy and Highland Council guidelines, priority will always be given to children accessing their 5 government funded sessions. We will do our best to meet your needs for additional sessions but cannot guarantee everyone will get their preferred choices.
We follow the lead of Avoch Primary School if we have to close due to adverse Winter weather. You can telephone the Highland Council Schools Information Service on 0800 564 2272 then dial 04 1470 as the PIN number. You can also listen to Moray Firth Radio who broadcast updated bulletins regularly.
